Corporate video production services

The sky really is the limit when it comes to the range and style of corporate and business videos we can produce. All we need from you is an initial idea of the type of content you’d like producing and how you want to use it.  At Picture Lock Films, we pride ourselves at being a creative and agile corporate video production company. We have a diverse skill set that allows us to work seamlessly across different formats: from live action to animation, infographics and virtual reality (VR).

Whatever your project requires, we can deliver:

Corporate Training Videos

We create bespoke training videos and animation for face-to-face use or to be used as online resources. We also produce training videos and animation that can be hosted on existing LMS sites. Many of our corporate video productions cover training in the workplace to ensure your team/s are up to date with current working practices or site operational protocols. Using a mixture of live-action and animation we bring real life scenarios and situations to life.

Training Infograhics

We can also provide your training assets in an infographic format. Infographics help you to communicate and simplify complex concepts, making them easier to explain and easier for viewers to understand and learn from. Again, this bespoke content can be hosted on any existing learning management system (LMS).

Live Event Videos

Corporate video is an essential part of any successful event production; whether it’s a face to face or a hybrid event. Well-executed event content helps to keep your audience engaged and involved with the event activities. Picture Lock Films has many years of corporate video production expertise in making conference, live event and awards ceremony content as well as post-event feedback & ‘wash-up’ company videos.

Promotional Videos

A professional, broadcast-quality corporate film is a great way to showcase your business and can be used as a promotional tool across platforms. Featuring your products and services, a company video quickly explains your commercial offer to stakeholders, target markets and new audiences. This kind of content is extremely flexible as it can be used in face to face meetings, exhibitions, on-line and on social media for maximum impact as well as a ROI. Put your business in the spotlight with a company video.

Case Study Films

Corporate filming is a great way to capture the success of a particular project or work stream. So, if you have a project that’s nearing its completion, and you’re looking to find an innovative way to report back on its success and the KPIs, then commissioning a case study corporate video to capture all the results is going to leave any PowerPoint or handout in the shade.

Conference Videos

Is your company or organisation hosting a conference? Well-made and engaging corporate video content is a must for any conference. The video content can be used to kick-off the conference, setting out the objectives and conference agenda. A company video can be used by keynote speakers to set-up their session(s) or to recap the conference’s key themes and messaging. A well-produced corporate video will be far more engaging for your audience/ team members than the usual presentation deck!

Recruitment Videos

One of our most requested services is producing corporate videos to help companies and organisations find and attract the best candidates. Potential employees can get to see the workings of your business/organisation. They can find out more about their prospects and hear first-hand testimonies from current team members about what life is like at your company. A company video is particularly useful in recruiting both apprentices and graduates who tend to gravitate towards websites & social media platforms to research companies to see what they have to offer before they submit their applications. A recruitment video is just the job to attract the best candidates.

Internal Communications

Corporate film production is a great medium for group-wide communications, especially if your business is international or split over numerous sites. By producing a corporate communications content, you are in total control of the message and the messaging. Are you wanting to introduce change management to your organisation or want to report back the success of the latest trading year? Then say it on camera.

Documentary Production

We are a very experienced corporate video production company; our core team has over 35 years production expertise across many genres of TV production which means we can offer an extensive range of corporate video production services. We are award-winning documentary-makers. With the proliferation of social media platforms, short-form documentary content allows your intended audience to take a ‘deeper dive’ into areas of your business, organisation or charity and get to know your key personnel. It also allows you to expand on your aims and objectives in an engaging way rather than a more formal corporate film.

Corporate Video Production in Sheffield & Derby

Picture Lock Films is based in the picturesque Derbyshire Peak District with our office located in Little Hayfield not far from the foot of Kinder Scout, scene of the famous mass trespass of 1932, which secured access to open countryside for all. Our unique location gives us great access to the nearby cities of Sheffield, Derby, Manchester and Leeds which are approximately an hour’s drive away but we don’t just work across the north of England, our clients are spread across the UK and internationally.

Producing a corporate video

To start off the corporate film production process, all we need is an idea of what your corporate video or animation is and a rough idea of your budget. Who is your intended audience? What are your timescales?

We can either meet face to face or on a video call to get further information about your corporate film project and its objectives.

Creating the brief for your corporate film or animation simply starts with us asking you about the main aims of your video and to find out more about your organisation and business. Once we’ve acquired this knowledge, we can spend time thinking about the best way to interpret your creative brief/s and successfully tell your story, sell your business and represent your brand to engage your target audiences and markets with maximum impact.

What sort of things do we need to know about your corporate film/animation project?

WHO?

Who are you as a business or organisation – we’ll get to know you, your brand and values.Who is your audience – we need to get to know your target audience, what they like and what will turn them off.

We have worked with many amazing people and companies over the years, here is what they have to say about working with us.

Corporate Video Production FAQs

Like most industries, and corporate video production is no different, there’s a wide choice of suppliers.  There are both videographers and corporate film/video producers to choose from. The main difference between Picture Lock Films and a videographer will be our experience and the range of corporate video production services we are able to offer. For example, you might be looking for a short clip to showcase your business on a social media site that might be between 1 or 2 minutes in duration. A videographer would be the perfect fit for this. But if your corporate video project requires multiple films, longer durations, the use of animation or you need some expertise on how to develop and produce your corporate film project then our advice is you should employ a corporate video producer.

The simple answer is yes we can. There will be many different options of how best to showcase your business and services. Our advice is to get in touch with us to have an informal chat about your requirements.

This will depend entirely on what your corporate film is all about. We tend to work with durations of 4-5 mins and above for single corporate film commissions. However it’s not uncommon for us to make multiple hours of content, split across a number of separate corporate films & animations. This will have been discussed at the ‘discovery stage’ of our corporate film making process.

The costs will be entirely governed by the ambition & scale of your corporate film project. Needless to say, we will be as cost effective as possible and look to achieve any economies of scale ensuring we deliver value for money for your project. All our costs are calculated on the days required to deliver your corporate video/animation. Again, all this will have been discussed at our discovery & proposal stages of our corporate film making process. As an approximate guide: Animation and Infographic content can cost upwards of £750 to £2500 per minute (this will depend on the nature of animation required.) Live action filming can start from between £650/£1000 upwards per minute. (the costs are dependent on locations/ travel/ camera equipment needed/ length of filming needed to get the content and the number of days needed for all the editing etc).

All filmed footage, whether an interview or actuality of an event taking place, is called ‘live action’ whereas animation is content that’s been produced usually by specialist computer software. Animation can be used as an alternative to ‘live action filming’. The decision to use animation over live action filming will be determined by the nature of the corporate film project.

We often use animation as an alternative to live action as it’s a fun way to tell your story or a great way to visually communicate complicated information to your intended audience. The production process is a little different from live action filming.

If your corporate video project uses infographics there will be some form of animation used in the production process, but as a general rule of thumb it’s a medium used more to share information in an easy-to-follow visual format. Traditionally, infographics have been used to share information, data and even instructions. When we work in infographics, we also add in animation sequences to make the content a little more exciting and engaging for the audience.

This is an exciting development in corporate film making. VR was once the preserve of Hollywood studios, due to its cost, but as the technology has evolved it’s becoming much more budget friendly to use. It gives us the flexibility to shoot in multiple locations – using VR sets – but we stay in the same location. So, one minute the location could be in park the next minute – with a quick change of background and set dressing – you could be in a trendy loft style apartment.

If you are interested in what VR could bring to your next corporate film project, have a look at our VR blog post. Or get some popcorn and watch our behind the scenes video made with our VR partners. It will give you a great insight into what’s possible with this amazing technology. The corporate film and video options are almost limitless as VR can work for almost any type of corporate film: from learning and development resources through to innovative conference content.
